We are pleased to welcome Sasha and Natarani as our guests this month.  The bio information below maybe a little out of date but for those who have not heard them before, it does give an indication of how lovely this last guitar society evening for the year will be!    So do come along!



Sasha and Natarani are well known in Auckland as 'Heartstrings' and play together for all sorts of occasions. With their growing family, they manage to keep up their musical life thanks to a lot of supportive family.



Sasha Witten-Hannah began his studies at 10 years old with Emile Bibobie. He received a Diploma of Music at Auckland University under the tutorage of Gunter Herbig and continued studying for a year with Miles Jackson in the South Island. Since then he has played as a professional musician both for private functions and as a soloist with a number of orchestras including Bach Musica, The Waitakere City Orchestra, the Auckland Symphony Orchestra and the Auckland Philharmonic. He has enjoyed playing in quartets as well and gives his biggest thanks to his wife Natarani (a very accomplished cellist) who has helped him make his dreams come true.

ANNUAL SUBS:   Renewal subscriptions to the Auckland Guitar Society are due on 1st April 2011.   Becoming a financial member of the Auckland Classical Guitar Society entitles you to free admission to all Guitar Society concerts for the year 1st April 2010 to 31st March 2011 and discounts at other events.
